IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Orange Plant agree to the above hire arrangement with the above party under the following conditions.

• You agree that this machine was received for this hire term in good working order and all cutters were sharp.
• All prices exclude vat @ 20%
• Open hire terms: the client must notify us on the day they wish to off hire the item, prior to 14:00 and ask for a “off hire” number.
• Fixed hire terms: the start and the end date of hire are agreed prior to commencing with the contract. Early returns will be subject to full spot hire rates.
• Termination of hire: On verbal termination of hire, an off hire reference number must be obtained as conformation. Please note this on any relevant correspondence.
• Insurance: Adequate insurance cover must be held to insure the owner against damage or theft of the plant hired.
• Machines must be returned before 5:00 pm on the day of hire termination. Clients who fail to do so will accrue additional hire charges if not returned before 5:00 pm.
• Hire extensions and / or off hire requests: Clients who wish to extend / or off hire a machine must seek approval from the owner before 2:00 pm by calling the head office.
• Cleaning: The hirer is responsible for any cleaning charges required at the termination of the hire.
• The hirer is responsible for the daily maintenance of the plant including the supply of all fuels, oils, grease and water.
• No repairs or modifications to plant may be carried out by the hirer without the prior consent, in writing, of the owner.
• Any faults or breakdowns must be notified immediately, when the machine will either be repaired or exchanged.
• All damage to blades, tyres, tubes and tracks is the responsibility of the hirer, at no cost to the owner.
• Refitting of slipped tracks will incur a call out charge.
• A call out charge will be levied to carry out on site repairs to plant damaged by the hirer.
• Hire charge will commence on the date the plant leaves our premises and will terminate on the date it is returned. The day of hiring and the day of return are charged respectively as full days.
• Transport to and from site re delivery or collection will be charged extra.
• Operators can be supplied at an additional cost to hire only.
• Operation on safe use and maintenance will be given to the operator upon delivery / collection of the machine. Operators must be adequately trained in the safe use of the plant hired.
• The hirer shall make good to Orange Plant all loss of or damage to the plant from whatever cause, nominal wear excepted and shall also fully and completely indemnify Orange Plant in respect of all claims by any person whatsoever for injury to persons or property caused by or in connection with or arising out of the use of plant.
• Plant must not be “CROSS-HIRED”.
• Should an item of plant be stolen or rendered unusable through damage whilst on hire, the hirer will be liable for the cost of hire of the plant until full compensation has been received for the plant stolen or until satisfactory repairs have been effected (whichever applies).
• Payments nett monthly for approved accounts, otherwise prior payment and a deposit will be required at commencement of hire.
• Woodchippers must not be used with blunt blades as this will cause excessive vibration and may lead to permanent damage to the bearings and rotor assembly.
• Custody of plant: The plant is deemed to be in custody of the hirer until such time as the plant is either collected by or delivered into the custody of the owner.
• Plant is supplied fully fuelled and must be returned fully fuelled. A charge will be levied for fuel used if plant is returned not fully fuelled.
• Hours of business: 07:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday.
• A fee of £35 + vat (per hour) will be charged for unauthorised late returns of hire equipment.
• Any failure of drive trains, hoses, pipes, motors, belts and clutches due to operator overloading will be chargeable.
